Feb 20, 2024 – Deadline to register to vote in the March 19 Primary
Feb. 21, 2024 – Vote-by-mail begins
Feb. 21, 2024 – Early In-person voting begins
Board of Elections is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM every weekday from Feb. 21 through March 8
Board of Elections is open Saturday March 9 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Board of Elections is open Monday March 11 through Friday March 15 from 7:30 AM through 7:30 PM
Board of Elections is open Saturday March 16 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Board of Elections is open Sunday March 17 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM (last day to vote early in-person)
Ohio Primary Key Dates
March 12, 2024 – Vote-by-mail application deadline for March Primary
March 18, 2024 – All Vote-by-mail ballots must be postmarked (and received by the Board of Elections by March 23, 2024)
March 19, 2024 – Primary Election – Polls open 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM
March 19, 2024 - All vote-by-mail ballots must be delivered to the Board of Elections by 7:30
You must register or update your voter registration no later than 30 days prior to an election. Upcoming voter registration deadlines:
February 20, 2024 for the March 19, 2024 Presidential Primary and Special Congressional Primary (6th Congressional District) Election
May 13, 2024 for the June 11, 2024 Special Congressional General (6th Congressional District) Election
July 8, 2024 for the August 6, 2024 Special Election
October 7, 2024 for the November 5, 2024 General Election
If you register or update your information after the deadline, the change will apply for the next election.
